Dialup Dialog popping up when Internet Explorer startedA lot of my customers are still using dial up connections. A common problem that occurs when they upgrade to broadband is the request to dialup when they open internet explorer.To correct this problem select the tools menu and the Internet Options menu item. On the dialog select the "Connections" tab. You will see a item list with your dial-up and other connections. Below this is three radio buttons. Ensure that the "Never Dial a Connection" is selected. You can delete the dial-up item as well if you want (although they can be a backup connection if your broadband is not working). | |
